EVENT

学びクラブ with EXPO 「水辺の生きもの観察会」

In anticipation of our participation in GREEN×EXPO 2027, SOTETSU PARK is hosting a pre-event titled “Sotetsu Lines Manabi-Club with EXPO” to help participants connect with the natural environment along the Sotetsu Lines. Starting today, we are accepting applications for the “Waterfront Wildlife Observation Session: Let’s Find Friends in Their Waterfront Homes!” scheduled for May 31. This is a hands-on program designed for children to enjoy learning about and getting close to the nature along the Sotetsu Lines.

The Sotetsu Group has long been committed to initiatives that help people discover and share the natural beauty and local charm of the areas along the Sotetsu Lines. One of our flagship programs is the “Sotetsu Lines Manabi-Club.” Its goal is to help participants gain a deeper appreciation for the region’s appeal through learning and hands-on experiences in nature.

To mark GREEN×EXPO 2027, we are holding a special edition of some of these programs under the name “Sotetsu Lines Manabi-Club with EXPO.”

● Features of the “Sotetsu Lines Manabi-Club with EXPO”

① Experience SOTETSU PARK’s “Friends & Habitats” Concept
Based on SOTETSU PARK’s “Friends & Habitats” concept, we are offering a special version of our existing Manabi-Club programs.
We are designing programs where children visit their “friends’” homes to get to know them better, and where they can experience living creatures as if they were friends.

② Lectures are led by a variety of experts active along the Sotetsu Lines!
We have invited experts with in-depth knowledge of the natural environments and wildlife along the lines to serve as instructors, and we collaborate with them to develop the actual programs.

③ with EXPO Original Content: “Friend Sketches”
We will be holding “Friend Sketches”, a project where participants observe and draw the “animal friends” they meet through event participation.
The artwork you create will be displayed and showcased on this special website and at related events along the Sotetsu Lines around December—100 days before the opening of GREEN×EXPO 2027. We invite you to take a look at the diverse “friends” born from the children’s perspectives.

④ with EXPO’s Original Program: “Friends & Habitats Lab”
We are set to launch “Friends & Habitats Lab,” a nature exploration program that goes beyond a single session and spans the entire year. Participants will continuously observe changes in living creatures and their habitats throughout the four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter. This ongoing program is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the natural environment.
